A New-Age Communication and Collaboration-Powered Workspace for a New-Age Banking Solutions Company

A New-Age Communication and Collaboration-Powered Workspace for a New-Age Banking Solutions Company

As the nature of the modern workplace continues to evolve, banking solutions companies like Q2 have to find ways to facilitate collaboration across large, multi-functional spaces. In a recent project in Bangalore, Resurgent AV Integrators partnered with Q2 to craft a comprehensive AV solution that meets the demands of an agile, tech-enabled workplace. Here’s a closer look at the needs of the project, solutions implemented, challenges faced, and tangible benefits realized.

Project Overview

  • Client: Q2
  • Location: Primeco Union City, Bangalore, India
  • Project Size: 35,000 sq. ft.
  • Timeline: June 2024 – September 2024
  • Spaces Designed: 35 meeting rooms, two large training rooms, cafeteria/all-hands spaces, and specialized rooms such as the IOC and bank room.

The Need for Advanced AV Solutions

Q2 required a high-performance AV infrastructure across its various room types, such as small and large meeting spaces, one training room, one cafeteria, and an IOC (Integrated Operations Center). Each space required solutions uniquely suited to its use, whether it was video conferencing, digital signage, or town hall events.

Key goals included:

  • Flexible connectivity options for seamless device integration.
  • Enhanced audio and video quality to facilitate clear communication across teams.
  • Ease of use for effortless collaboration in each room.
  • Centralized control to enable quick setup and management of AV resources.

Solution Implementation: Room-by-Room

Small Meeting Rooms (4 & 6 Pax)

Each small meeting room was designed for easy connectivity and video conferencing:

  • Audio: Poly Trio C60 speakerphones for superior voice clarity.
  • Video: Aver cameras.
  • Displays: LG displays paired with Apple Mac Minis.
  • Connectivity: Wireless sharing via Zoom and wired options through HDMI.

Larger Meeting Rooms (8 & 10 Pax)

For these rooms, a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model was used:

  • Audio: MXL table microphones and JBL pendant speakers.
  • Video: Aver cameras and LG displays.
  • Connectivity: Flexible with HDMI and USB-C options, enhancing ease of use.

Reception Area

The reception area features:

  • Digital Signage: A 65″ LG display with a mounted NUC PC for continuous corporate content display.

Training Room

To support training sessions and collaborative work, the training room was equipped with:

  • Displays: Dual 85″ LG displays and a DTEN 75″ display for Zoom Room sessions and whiteboarding.
  • Audio: Shure ceiling microphones, handheld and lapel mics, with JBL ceiling speakers, powered by a QSC DSP and amplifier.
  • Control: A QSC 10” touch panel for centralized AV control.

Cafeteria and All-Hands Area

This space was set up to handle larger gatherings:

  • Display: 180″ motorized projection screen with a Panasonic laser projector.
  • Audio: Shure ceiling microphones and JBL speakers routed through a QSC DSP.
  • Control: A wall-mounted QSC 7” touch panel for easy access to AV controls.

IOC Room

For monitoring and operational oversight:

  • Video Wall: A 2×3 video wall using six 55″ LG displays.
  • Switching: Extron matrix switcher for seamless content distribution.

Bank Room

This room, designed for specialized conferencing, included:

  • Displays: Dual 86″ LG displays.
  • Audio: JBL speakers and a Shure ceiling microphone, supported by a QSC DSP.
  • Video: An Aver camera for video conferencing.

Unique Project Elements and Challenges

Unique Aspects

The project incorporated state-of-the-art equipment tailored for specific room functions, from large-scale town hall events to personal huddle spaces. Each room was fitted with connectivity options that facilitate both in-room and remote participation, enhancing flexibility.

Challenges

One of the major challenges for the project was the coordination of installation with ongoing fit-outs. The AV equipment was pre-booked and ready to install, but Resurgent AV had to wait until dust-free conditions were met, ensuring that all components could be safely and effectively installed. This careful coordination with the PMC and client team was crucial to the project’s seamless delivery.

Results and Benefits

The results of this AV integration are clear and impactful, bringing multiple benefits to Q2’s workspace:

  • Improved Collaboration and Communication: The new AV setup supports seamless communication and real-time collaboration across all departments and locations. Each meeting room is designed with video conferencing, enabling employees working from home to be part of discussions.
  • Flexibility and Convenience: The BYOD model and other connectivity options ensure flexibility for Q2 employees to connect their personal devices and share content with ease.
  • Ease of Use: Centrally located control panels make the management of AV easier, with seamless source switching, audio levelling, and video feed management in real-time.
  • Productivity Boost: This new setup of the workspace cuts down on wasted time due to technical issues. Instead, employees can actually have productive meetings and get work done.
